Ipswich has always been well served with swimming pools, this one, Fore street baths was one of the most popular, until that is new Crown pools complex was built 15 years ago. Fore street is used by many water sports clubs and organizations. Up until a few yars ago the original public baths were in evidence. this is a very special place for me because I learned to swim here 42 years ago with the "Ipswich school of swimming" run by Mr and Mrs Alexandra.
